Volunteer with Swan Advocacy and help change people’s lives
If you have some time and are looking for a volunteering role that really makes a difference to people’s lives, we’d love to hear from you.
We’re looking for people with a variety of skills and experience who can either provide advocacy to vulnerable people that need our support, or who can support our volunteers and staff teams and the charity in their activities. As we work with a variety of individuals, we’re keen to hear from people that are compassionate and inclusive with an enthusiasm for our vision and values.
Why should you volunteer with Swan Advocacy?
- You can learn new skills or enhance your practical experience in the charitable/advocacy sector, and even advance your career with nationally recognised qualifications.
- Volunteering connects you to other people as you instantly become part of our friendly team of dedicated and passionate people.
- Everything we do has a direct positive impact on a persons’ life by supporting them to express their views and choices; you can be part of that positivity working alongside people in your community, helping those who otherwise may not have a voice.
- We will provide you with the training and support you need to carry out and develop your volunteering role.
How can I become a volunteer with Swan Advocacy?
Whether you have a lot or a little time to give we would love to hear from you so please contact us if you are interested, and we’ll arrange to meet you. Please note that in order to recruit volunteers in a cost effective way, we have ‘induction’ periods (usually January, April, July and October), so you may not have an instant start. This allows us to provide group training/introduction sessions, which are also a good opportunity for you to get to know other new volunteers.
