Swan will offer a free, independent and confidential advocacy service for adult victims of crime and antisocial behaviour living in Somerset, Bristol, Bath & North East Somerset, South Gloucestershire and North Somerset.
Adult victims can access advocacy, alongside practical and emotional support to help them to cope and recover from their experience and to engage with the criminal justice system if they choose to do so. This enhanced adult service will be available for
*Race *Religion *Sexuality *Gender Identity *Mental health issues *Learning difficulties *Physical disabilities *Problems associated with old age *Problems associated with social exclusion or isolation
We will work with victims whether or not they have reported the crime of antisocial behaviour to the police.
You can consent to transfer your case to our new service. To give your consent please get in touch with your current Advocate who will inform us of your request. If you would like to continue working with your current Advocate we will arrange this where possible.
Our highly trained Advocates will work across Avon and Somerset. We will respond to the needs of victims using our flexible workforce and person directed approach. We will also be developing and facilitating peer support sessions across the area. The new service will offer appointments at a location that suits you, for example at your home, or at a venue in your community.
